For next month's Celtic Wheel of the Year Art Class, we are going to be upstyling some gorgeous fabrics with simple embroidery.

Here's an example of one I have done. You'll be able to choose your fabric from a mixture of fruit, vegetable and flower patterns.

We're focusing on the bounty of Lughnassadh, the time of year when Celts would have celebrated the beginning of their harvests. It's a lovely way to reflect on the cycle of the year.

You can use complete backstitch if you want to and I can also teach you some other simple stitches. Dont worry if you have never embroidered before. It's easy & I'll be there to help!

If you have a piece of fabric you love or is meaningful to you, do bring it along and I'll bring a stash too.
