About the event

Colonial Sewing Series

Join the Newtown Historical Society this winter for a 3-part, hands on sewing series, in which we learn to make our own 18th century garments. Guided by historical sewing instructor, Melissa Houston, participants will construct pieces such as a petticoat and bedgown, while exploring the clothing and craftmanship of colonial New England. Beginners welcome!
