Work Week 2025 is scheduled for July 14-18! Mark your calendars and start getting excited—because we certainly are and we will need your help. We have projects all around Jasper County that we cannot do without you! We need in all areas and expertise, from kitchen help and visiting with elderly people to skilled construction and roofing and everything in between. (We will never force you to do a job you are uncomfortable to do!!!) You dont have to commit to the whole week. If you only have a few hours you can help thats great too.
Our days begin between 7 and 7:15 am each morning at Grace United Methodist Church in Newton. (one block west of the square on washington street) We will feed you breakfast and have devotions, followed by job assignments. At noon we will provide lunch. We wrap up by 5pm. We reccommend that you wear old clothes and shoes, work gloves, and a reusable water bottle or cup. If you have yard work tools those are great to have too (we have a few to loan out)
This is a GREAT service opportunity for your small group, family, church, or youth groups! We welcome all ages to help but we request that any child under the age of 13 has a parent or guardian that will stay with them and help them.
If you would like more info or if you are planning on bring a large or specifically skilled group please contact Debbie (618) 554-4987 or Quincy (618) 553-4690
If you can't help during the work week there are always other ways to help.... you could donate money or supplies (paper towels, Wasp Spray, cleaning supplies, paint brushes, work gloves, tools of all sizes, small bottles of Gatoraide, paper cups, plasticware, paper plates, bug spray, and sunblock just to name a few). And we absolutely always welcome your prayers! For more info feel free to contact us!
