The Geology of Dartmoor

Josephine Collingwood, architectural photographer, presents an illustrated talk covering Dartmoor’s world-class geology; its formation, characteristics and mineral legacy. If your curiosity is piqued when looking at the tor formations, sparkles in the ground and odd coloured rocks, then this talk is for you.
The talk will take you on a journey through deep time from Dartmoor’s earliest geological history to the present day. There will be plenty of bespoke illustrations, photographs of features, and yes, there will be photographs of rocks!
At the Parish Hall with a 7.30 pm start. Bar available from 6.45 pm. Non-members welcome - £4 on the door. Free entry for students.
