This is a proper Cornish competition — traditional rules apply (see below 👇).

📜 RULES & GUIDELINES
🥩 Mandatory Ingredients
• Minced or roughly cut beef (minimum 12.5% of the whole pasty)
• Potato
• Swede
• Onion
➡️ Vegetables must make up at least 25% of the pasty
➡️ Light seasoning only (salt & pepper)
➡️ All ingredients must be raw when the pasty is sealed
Small amounts of additional optional ingredients are permitted.
🥧 Pastry Requirements
• Savoury shortcrust, rough puff or puff pastry
• Pastry must be brushed with milk, egg, or both
• Must be robust, hold its shape, and not split or crack during cooking
📍 Important
✔️ Pasties must be made in Cornwall
ℹ️ Traditionally in Cornwall, “swede” is often called “turnip” — the correct ingredient is swede
