Please note that this post refers to Suicide Prevention Training
Farm Cornwall and PAPYRUS Prevention of Young Suicide are offering a free suicide prevention training session to the farming community in Cornwall.
The training will include noticing the signs that a person may be thinking of suicide, how to ask and start a conversation. Then how to support and signpost to keep them safe.
This is a really difficult and sensitive subject but it is one that has affected so many families here in Cornwall. The course will be held at Kernow Training Ltd on Thursday 6th November, 1.00pm to 4.30pm. More details and a booking link are attached. Any queries please contact me, Deborah Evans on 07525 411774.
Just like a First Aid course - this could help save a life.

Want to know how to support someone with thoughts of suicide?
SPEAK (Suicide Prevention Explore Ask Keep-safe) Teaches suicide conversation skills training. Focusing on myths, breaking down stigma, and then builds on this by looking at signs, then how to ask about thoughts of suicide and have a conversation about suicide, making a suicide safe plan and signposting. This will enable you to support a person and help to keep them safe and potentially de-escalate from suicide thoughts.
