Get Moving Together — Run Meet Up

Hi all, run canceled due to white stuff everywhere. Roads are narrower, slick, and side roads are not plowed. Be safe and there's always another day to run.

You may be intimidated by joining a “Run Club.” You say you’re not a “real runner,” “I can’t run that far,” or “I’m too slow.” Or, maybe you just want to run with a group of folks that are a little less intense. If you’ve had any of these thoughts and haven’t yet found a group that feels comfortable for you, come check us out — we fill that gap!

We’re a free, absolutely “NO PRESSURE” casual run group aimed at creating a healthy community that’s inclusive, supportive, and nonjudgemental. Break a little sweat, get healthier, clear out your head, and meet some other like-minded people. Our goal is simple: Getting YOU outdoors, motivated, and moving on a consistent basis!

For Adults: Casual Paces, Beginners, Older Runners, etc… you get the drift.

We have a different 5K (3.1 miles) route each week. Go at any pace that works for you. Come join us and stay motivated to move!

DETAILS

When: Saturday mornings - 8 am (some are cancelled or moved due to special events, please see the news posted at the top of this page. If you don't see an event after clicking the Reserve a Spot or Select a Date calendar button, then that specific run has been cancelled.)

Where: Touro Park, Newport, RI (Bellevue Ave, between Mill St and Pelham St at the Newport Stone Tower).

Distance: 5K (3.1miles)

Cancellations: Runs are cancelled due to extreme weather conditions. There's usually a run if it’s light rain, but always do what’s best for you. Cancellation notices try to get posted (at the top of this page) by 9 pm on Friday evening, but not always possible; otherwise will be posted by Saturday 7 am the latest.
