Francesca Brown and Nicholas Johnson

Francesca Brown is a songwriter known for her soulful blend of Americana, folk, and country music. She is often compared to artists like Emmylou Harris and Loretta Lynn, drawing inspiration from a blend of classic country and modern sensibilities. Her songs are characterized by personal storytelling, exploring themes of hardship, resilience, and personal experience, and delivered with a "hurts-so-good" voice that connects with audiences.With shared roots from California to rural Illinois, Brown found herself dabbling in what was available. Karaoke and dive bar performances marked the beginning of Brown's musical journey.

Later, as an adult making her way back west, she found inspiration in folk music in Topanga Canyon and the Southern California beaches, drawing from personal struggles and stories from her time in Los Angeles.
