The I AM WHAT I AM: Newport News Pride Festival is more than an event — it’s a bold beautiful joy-packed tribute to love identity community and pride.

This is the official Newport News Pride Weekend Kickoff and it’s going to be one of the biggest loudest most love-filled days of the summer.

• Drag kings and queens turning up the stage

PLUS: Mayor Jones will make the official Proclamation of Pride Month — a moment of visibility celebration and power for the LGBTQIAP+ community and allies in our city.
