10:00 AM until 12:30 PM - SKETCH
12:30 PM - RECONVENE to share our work, make introductions, announcements and take a group photo. (Location to be determined the day of event)

ADMISSION: No Fee, we will be sketching outside of the Inn.

ABOUT THE LOCATION: The Balboa Inn is a historic Spanish Colonial Revival landmark in Newport Beach, California, built in 1929 and known for its glamour and clientele, including Hollywood stars like Johnny Weissmueller, Humphrey Bogart, Errol Flynn, Howard Hughes, musician including Glenn Miller, Stan Kenton and politicians like Barry Goldwater. Once a notorious hub for rum-runners during Prohibition, the Inn was purchased and restored in the 1980s by a partnership including NBA star Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, who was a former owner. The Inn remains a popular resort, blending its historical character with modern amenities and a prime location on the Newport Beach boardwalk.

All skill levels are welcome whether you're a seasoned artist or just starting to explore your creativity. Bring your favorite sketching media, an easel if desired and maybe a folding chair or stool if you need to sit. If you’re new to sketching, your equipment can be as simple as a pencil and a sketchbook!
