Wool Felted Slippers Workshop!

Join us to create wool slippers professionally!
We will be working with Australian merino wool to create thick and durable slippers.
You will learn all about wet felting, including its techniques, materials, and equipment we use.
We will start by tracing your foot to make an individualised pattern.
Then, by layering wool over the pattern, adding soapy water, rolling and shaping the project, we will create seamless slippers customised to your feet.
To make the slippers perfect, we will have the option to use the cobbler’s shoe lasts. You will also learn how to create the shoe last at home.
Participants will have a variety of wool colours to choose from, allowing them to make the slippers uniquely their own.
The soap we use is handmade and natural, leaving your skin feeling soft and silky.
We will have an option to hand-stitch the sole on the slippers bottom.
You can also bring some old flat shoes to insert into the slippers when you take them home.
All material, light refreshments including the embellishments provided! No prior felting experience needed.
I will guide you each step of the way.
This wet felting slipper workshop will be guided by felt artist Julija Halilovic.
