Attention Newy freedivers!
I’m launching regular coached pool training sessions in Newcastle for freedivers who have completed a freediving course (with me or elsewhere), and for surfers who have completed my Breath Training for Surfers course, and who want to continue developing their skills in a structured, supportive environment.
These sessions are designed to help you refine technique, build CO₂ tolerance, improve underwater efficiency, and grow confidence in a way that transfers to both pool training and the ocean. The focus is on calm, control, safety, and steady progression — not competition.
When & where:
Lambton Pool (50 m), New Lambton
Dry training: 5:15pm -5:45pm
Pool training: 5:45 - 6:45pm
Cost: $25 plus pool entry (pay at the pool)
Coaching:
Sessions are coached by Michaela Werner — freediving coach, AIDA judge, and 2 x Guinness World Records holder.
What to expect:
Each session includes a structured warm-up and breathwork, technique-focused pool sets, progressive CO₂ tolerance work, and clear safety protocols with buddy awareness.
Places may be limited depending on lane availability.
