The Doctors Wife and Jack and Jel – Two great local groups - BYO Venue - Helpers Needed

The Doctor's Wife'
is a Newcastle based acoustic duo who perform original music and selected covers of songs that they wish they had written!!They have a long history of performance from intimate house concerts to the festival stage,(recent performances:Top Half Folk Festival/St Albans Folk Festival).They have had an enthusiastic response to their recently released second album"Second Script".They are active in the community music scene in the Hunter and have a long history of hosting house concerts.

Jack n Jel
have been variously described as 'mesmerising', 'funny', and 'a little brave'. They write their own songs, but also reinvent other great songs with well blended harmonies re-interpreting on uke, guitar, banjo and trumpet. Their music is a little bit country, bluesy, folksy with occasional comic twists.
