Mold Making Basics with Meg Walsh

This beginner-friendly workshop is designed to demystify the plaster process and build your confidence in tackling molds for your own creative practice. Learn the fundamentals of working in plaster, from selecting the right materials, to preparing your workspace, to choosing and planning out your first model. Learn to identify undercuts and seam lines, how to use cottle boards, design and create prototypes, release a stuck mold, and more. Participants will leave the workshop with their own one-part plaster mold as well as a broad understanding of the mold-making process (and Meg’s favorite mold-making cheater techniques!)
