Learn how to create a simple one colour lino print with artist and printmaker Valé Vincent in this one day workshop.
You will be guided to design, carve and print your own lino block, ready for framing or making into cards. This course is perfect for beginners. A great introduction to printmaking, it is a technique which can be practiced in the home or studio with minimal cost and amazing results.
Participants will learn how to:
* prepare and transfer images to the lino block
* how to cut and carve a lino block using a variety of mark making techniques
* ink up and print the block using a small portable press
All materials are provided including a variety of printing papers, quality printing inks, a 12x12cm lino block, the use of lino tools and printing equipment.
Bookings essential as places are limited. Minimum of 4 participants for the workshop to proceed.
Aimed at anyone aged 18 years and above. No experience is needed.
Includes all materials and equipment plus light refreshments.
