Join us, along with special guest Clare Bowditch, on Friday 12 September for our annual Grow a Star fundraising lunch - Lunch for the Stars!
Over the past four years, inspiring speakers including Craig Johnston, Steven Bradbury, Danny Buderus, Sam Poolman and Jana Pittman have helped us raise more than $107,000 for Grow a Star.
This year we are aiming to raise $30,000 to fund scholarships and mentoring for young people from disadvantaged backgrounds. The support will give them the chance to overcome barriers and follow their dreams.

About our special guest speaker:
We are thrilled to welcome Clare Bowditch to this year’s Lunch for the Stars. Clare is an ARIA Award-winning musician, author, broadcaster and speaker whose career has touched audiences across Australia.
She has toured with artists such as Leonard Cohen, Paul Kelly and Missy Higgins, and is beloved for both her music and her storytelling. Her memoir Your Own Kind of Girl became an instant bestseller, winning the 2020 Australian Book Industry Award for New Writer of the Year.
Clare is also a passionate advocate for creativity and courage, known for her warmth, humour and ability to inspire. We are delighted to have her share her story with us in Newcastle.
