From Mars to Muswellbrook: Thomas Parmeter's Symphony No. 1
Come along and join Orchestra Nova for a special afternoon at the Harold Lobb Concert Hall as we proudly present the world premiere of Thomas Parmeter’s Symphony No. 1. Written by an extraordinary 15-year-old composer from Muswellbrook, this epic debut shimmers with imagination and we are so excited to share it with you. For this occasion, Tom has also composed an inventive new Miniature Symphony, and we're thrilled to welcome him and his family to perform alongside the orchestra.
The program continues with audience favourites, including the fiery, cinematic power of Holst’s Mars, soaring themes from John Williams’ E.T. and Superman Returns, and more.
We thank the University of Newcastle for sponsoring this event and celebrating the achievements of a remarkable new talent.
