We invite you to an evening of shared music, movement, and quiet reflection in celebration of Navaratri - a festival that honours the many expressions of feminine energy within Indian tradition.
Devi Rasa, or "Essence of the Goddess," offers a space to experience rasa - the emotional and aesthetic essence that flows through Indian classical arts. Over the course of the evening, we'll sing together, light a candle in quiet intention, and witness a performance of Bharathanatyam - a classical dance form that tells stories through rhythm, gesture, and expression.
We'll begin with a simple ritual around a shared altar, followed by participatory singing guided by The Singing Circle - a mindful singing community that uses voice and song as a way to connect more deeply with ourselves and each other. No prior singing experience is needed.
We're honored to welcome Nikita, a dedicated Bharathanatyam dancer, whose performance offers an expressive interpretation of feminine archetypes and themes drawn from traditional storytelling.
The evening will close with time to connect over chai. This is an open invitation - whether you come to participate, observe, or simply rest in the atmosphere of shared presence, you are most welcome.
