Eywas Harold Community Hall is hosting a Come and Sing event on Saturday, 29 November 2025 focusing on the wonderful choruses that form Handel’s perpetually popular Messiah, a work that justifiably remains a cornerstone of our musical heritage.
The workshop will be led by Roger Langford, who has performed it as a soloist and chorus member many times and also conducted it with both the Kington Choral Society and the Gwent Bach Choir. He has led numerous workshops on Messiah in the past and presented a four-part lockdown special course - “Zoom in on Messiah” - which examined the highly enlightening background to this enduring masterpiece. The emphasis of this Come and Sing is to enable participants to enjoy singing all the choruses and to have a go at singing together at least one of the solo numbers relevant to each section.
All profits from the day will go to support the building of a loo in the grounds of the Abbey
