This CPD session will cover:

Desco has engaged with an independent school to retrospectively assess its performance against the industry backed Net Zero Carbon Building Standard. Having assessed the whole life carbon, including operational energy and water usage, Desco has been able to understand how a business-as-usual development performs against the standard and will be presenting lessons learned from delivering the pilot scheme

Speaker's name: Jake Timothy-Dorward, Associate Director - Building Performance

Speaker's biography: Having been engaged with the Net Zero Carbon Building Standard through its development, supporting the technical chair and attending regular round table events. Jakes background is diverse, though heavily focuses on energy and carbon across several sectors including schools, higher education, leisure centres, heritage buildings, life science, high-rise residential, data centres, and industrial projects. Jake is a BREEAM AP and a LEED AP and currently supporting initiations such as CIBSE's Sustainability Special Interests Group, CIBSE's Embodied Carbon Group, UKGBC's Regenerative Places Framework, and City of London's Skills for a Sustainable Skyline Taskforce.
