Free Valentine's Day Choc!
For the February session only. I have been making my own organic vegan chocolate for a few years. There will be free choc for anyone attending. This will be a mixture of plain (dark), fruit and nut, lime, a zero sugar/syrup (very bitter) and also a mango butter version.
Join Our Gong Sound Bath Experience!
Perfect for relaxation, meditation, and resetting your mind. Just bring yourself and something to keep you comfortable during the session. No prior experience needed — just an open mind and comfy clothes!
I have been running sound bath sessions at Home Holistics for over four years, and I have also been running sessions at festivals for even longer. The picture above is of me running at session at Buddhafield festival from a few years back.
Unlike other sound baths that move from tool to tool (bowls, gongs, shakers, bells, etc.), this session will only use gongs until the very end, where there may be a Koshi chime to close.
How the session works:
Please arrive before 10:45 to give yourself time to settle. The room at Home Holistics is big, comfortable, and very well sheltered from external noise. It’s ideal for sound baths.
I will talk briefly at the beginning and then guide a short spoken grounding exercise. You won’t hear me talking about chakras, spirituality, new-age systems, or any other esoteric approaches. I am not going to give you things to think about — you probably have enough of your own already.
I will then gently begin with the gongs. I have a collection of 13 gongs (there are usually around nine at a session), ranging from a small 16" gong to a huge 53", 42-kg, wonderfully deep Chau. I will play for around 45 minutes.
At the end of the session, there is no requirement to do anything. If you want to lie there for as long as you like, gently move, or leave, that’s all fine — just do what feels right for you.
I’m happy to talk about the gongs after the session (I run training courses from time to time and have a good depth of knowledge about them). Outside of gong baths, I practise meditation and have helped many people learn simple techniques for a more focused mind. I’ve also taught resilience and anti-anxiety/calming techniques in a professional crisis-management environment. I’m very happy to chat quietly about any of this after sessions.
MONEY!
Here’s a nice thing. I’m not doing this for the money, but I do pay for the use of the studio and live 1½ hours away, so I need to cover costs. I advertise here at £12 to cover Eventbrite fees. However, the suggested donation on the day is £10 cash. If you don’t have £10 disposable income, you may pay what you like — or nothing at all. I don’t look to see who has paid.
There are plenty of people struggling with the cost of living right now, and those are often the people who could benefit from a gong bath the most. Please just come along and feel the vibes.
