The final instalment in Mervyn's Arthur Berry Trail sees us
ascending from Middleport Pottery and the old McGuinness's
site - described graphically by Berry - to almost-genteel Wolstanton, where he spent his dotage and was known by Mervyn as a regular caller at the Plough pub.

Be prepared for a walk up the road that is a physical metaphor for the Smallthorne-born polymath's ascendant journey in life
