Introduction to Visible Mending Workshop

Learn to celebrate worn textiles through traditional techniques that extend their use creatively.

Make samples by hand with darning and Sashiko on denim initially.

Enjoy chatting about the resurgence of these wonderful old methods of repair that can save our clothing and avoid fast fashion.

Please feel free to bring pieces you want to repair for advice / get started.

We have basic tools and materials but if you have favorites of your own please bring them along too.

No experience is required - once you can do a running stitch you are off !

Children are welcome if over 8 and supervised by an adult.
