Workshop: Have a go at spinning

Have a go at spinning with natural fibre and learn about preparation and drafting using either a drop spindle or working alongside a wheel with one of our experts. Spinning wheel techniques will be demonstrated by Guild members.

The Kennet Valley Guild of Weavers, Spinners & Dyers was formed in 1977 and has a growing membership of 80. Our members are dedicated to a range of textile skills, that include core skills in weaving, spinning and dyeing, with associated crafts such as braiding, knitting, lace-making and more. Experience ranges from beginner to expert and new members are always welcome to join our group of enthusiasts. These workshops are suitable for adults and children (accompanied by an adult).
