The Hudson River has endured decades of industrial PCB pollution. In 1984, 200 miles of the river—from Hudson Falls to New York Harbor—were designated a Superfund site. Dredging in the Upper Hudson concluded in 2015, but PCB concentrations still exceed targets set in the EPA’s Record of Decision. The job isn’t finished.
Earlier this summer, the Hudson River Community Advisory Group (CAG) reconvened in person to focus on the Upper Hudson. Our next CAG meeting shifts to the Lower Hudson—and your presence matters.
