The Transformation of St Pancras

St. Pancras was a 14-year-old Christian boy who was martyred in Rome in AD304 by the Emperor Diocletian. In Britain he is better known as a railway station.

This talk is for anyone with an interest in history, world-class architecture, elegant engineering, or a great story; it covers the incredible changes of mid-Victorian Britain, and describes how the fantastic cathedral-like station came to be built and how the long-neglected buildings underwent a breathtaking transformation. It's not about trains.
