NYC's only monthly ska party, with that irresistible tiki twist!
Summer keeps the pressure cooker going, and we've got a fantastic menu ready to serve!
This month we welcome The Soularites, on tour from Baltimore, playing Skaville for the first time! Blending ska and soul with lovely harmonies and melodic horn lines, you'll be swaying and swooning in no time at all!
Back again with their new lineup, it's The Pandemics, with hard stomping ska style, righteous dissatisfaction, and just a hint of melancholy. It's also Pandemics Day Eve, in which we celebrate multiple band member birthdays! Come get 'em nice and toasted on Jameson!
Opening up, and returning to the stage is Jo Mercado, one of our favorite NYC folk punks (who will probably play one ska song) and die-hard supporters of the scene! They've got a new album on the way too!
Maybe we'll add one more band, stay tuned!
Also coming back up from Baltimore is DJ Bobby Babylon to keep those turntables hotter than it is outside!
As always, your DJ Ryan Midnight keeps the subway running on time, spins the late set after the bands are done, and offers questionable fashion influence no matter the time of year.
Bands play 9pm-midnight sharp, DJs go non-stop from 8pm-2am!
21+, and no cover (pay what you can). Please bring cash (or Venmo!) to tip each band you see. Dress to impress, if that's your thing, and we'll see you on the dance floor!
Want to support StS, near or far? The Venmo "tip bucket" @djryanmidnight is always ready for a few bucks.
