15 Gramercy Park South, New York, United States
As part of the National Arts Club’s fall exhibition, , join us for a special talk with Julie Grahame, senior representative for the Estate of Yousuf Karsh.
This landmark exhibition features nine portraits by Yousuf Karsh— the largest collection of prints on view in the United States since 2019. Drawing on more than 20 years of experience with the Karsh archive, Grahame will offer a vivid look at the photographer’s life and artistry, bringing to light his process and the stories behind some of his most celebrated images.
The talk will include Karsh’s own anecdotes, including the remarkable tale of the making of his famous 1941 portrait of Winston Churchill—an image that defined both a statesman and a moment in history.
