Nature Tots: 4 Fall Sessions (Monday mornings)

This fall, we're offering Nature Tots sessions on Monday mornings and Tuesday mornings. Please only sign up for one set of sessions, as the content will be the same for both. This page is for the Monday morning sessions.

Description:

The Battery Conservancy's Nature Tots program encourages children 2-3 years old to expand social-emotional and motor skills through interaction with nature in a farm setting. The program allows parents and caregivers an opportunity to participate alongside their children in a learning experience that fosters independence, sensory discovery, and growth.

This fall the Nature Tots will explore compost, save seeds, harvest vegetables, make autumn crafts, and meet the wildlife of the park.

Each morning, we will gather at the ecologically rich environment of Battery Urban Farm, where young people have been learning from the land since 2011. Conservancy educators will present four sessions that promote connection with the land and inspire further nature exploration.

Program fee: $200 for 4 sessions

Dates: The Monday session program dates are October 6th, 20th, 27th, and November 3rd (there will be no meeting on Indigenous People's Day, October 13th). If one of the scheduled dates gets rained out, the make-up date will be November 10th. If more than one of the intended dates gets rained out, we will work with participants to schedule another visit or refund the equivalent portion of the cost. By purchasing a ticket for the October 6th session, you will automatically be signed up for the following sessions as well.

Time: 11:00am - 12:00pm

Program capacity: 8 children.

Please note:

• Each ticket is for one child, and each child must be accompanied by a parent or caregiver at all times. If you sign up for two children to participate in the program, you will need to provide two parents or caregivers to accompany them.
• We do not offer refunds for absences; only if two or more sessions are canceled due to weather. If you are only interested in attending for a portion of the dates listed, you will still need to register for the entire program and pay the full fee.
