This captivating lecture explores the profound influence that music has on our nervous system. Daniel will discuss how rhythm and sound engage the human brain and body in ways that light up the nervous system. Music not only enhances learning through pattern recognition but also fosters connection with others while helping us express and identify our emotions.

Daniel Martin Rynerson is a Professor of Psychology at Montclair State University and a multi-instrumental recording artist. His expertise in Cognitive Psychology and Neuroscience includes research on EEG brain wave studies and behavioral studies at Rutgers' Center for Behavioral and Molecular Neuroscience. A musician himself, he creates original music and has previously shared insights on the relationship between music and mathematics on the Lectures on Tap stage.
