Workshop- Venetian Masks

Swamp Stomp Workshop: Venetian Mask history and hands on crafting
- Taught by Antonius Gracchus known as Twyg

Workshop Goals:
● Introduce the history and meaning of Venetian masks (esp. 16th century).
● Teach the basics of mask-making materials: papier-mâché (cartapesta), gesso, paints, and simple finishes.
● Allow participants to either:
-Start their own mask base (papier-mâché over a mold), or
-Decorate a pre-made blank (ready-to-paint mask).
● Provide a clear take-home guide so they can continue independently.


Patterning/Sizing:
In addition to the hands-on mask making there will be pattern/sizing taking place.
