Nature Cleanup at Ngāmotu Beach on Sat. 6 Sept. 10am (it is fine to be late!) 🏖️
Come and help us clean the beautiful Ngāmotu Beach and part of the coastal walkway! ☀️
This event is part of #ConservationWeek 2025 and is family and young kids-friendly! Your pēpi and tamariki are welcome!
ALL WELCOME! You do NOT need to be “fit” or stay for the full 2 hours. Any help is MUCH APPRECIATED! 💚
10am (or later) - Meet us opposite at Ngāmotu Beach (bottom of Bayly Rd) for a kōrero - briefing. Look for the Sustainable Taranaki flag!
BYO gloves and buckets if possible, but we'll provide some if needed! 🧤
12pm (or earlier) - Meeting back to drop off all the trash collected (we will separate all items to divert as much as we can from the landfill) ♻️
No RSVP required! Just show up! ☀️
The aim of this event is:
- to clean this location the best we can
- to divert trash from the landfill
- to engage and educate our community about waste and recycling
- to create a fun and meaningful event for families to connect with the environment and take action towards bettering sustainability/conservation
