This weekly working-bee has been several years running, and is hosted every fine Friday from 10am.
The ongoing mahitahi on Friday mornings began with a partnership between Marfell Māra & Toucan Taranaki, who provides New Plymouth with longterm group housing & fulltime carer support around disabilities.
Marfell Māra shares in this kaupapa of Inclusion & Accessibility, so we encourage any groups or individuals who work/live with disabilities to join us any Friday.
THINGS TO KNOW:
- Enabled Gardening is FREE & open to the public, regardless of abilities
- While Marfell Māra continually aims to improve mobility pathways, the terrain is varied and additional caution is advised if mobility or vision are impaired.
- Our apologies as yet we have NO toilets on the premises, though we DO have access to Marfell Community Centre incl. bathroom/kitchen facilities (approx. 25 metres distance)
- Dom, our Kaitiaki is always there to facilitate inclusion & cohesion, while additional support/supervision should be provided by accompanying carers where needed.
