Join us for Ready to Ride and get ready for the Week Without Driving!
This free community workshop and ride will introduce participants to the city’s Blue Bikes program and cover the basics of safe bike handling and the rules of the road. We’ll also have short discussion of commuting basics, safe riding tips and being a vehicle on the road. Instructors will be happy to answer questions about bike fit, equipment, and rules of the road.
Blue Bike complimentary ride codes will be available for the duration of the workshop.
Blue Bikes is a locally run nonprofit bike-share program uniquely designed for the City of New Orleans, providing accessible, equitable, and fun transportation for residents and visitors at a low cost. The Blue Bikes fleet consists of hundreds of pedal-assist e-bikes that maximize your movements, allowing you to ride with confidence on a bicycle built for you.
Bike share is the ideal way to get around during the Week Without Driving. It’s a fun, affordable, and healthy alternative to driving—helping you avoid traffic, skip parking stress, and enjoy the city at your own pace. By choosing bike share, you're supporting reducing pollution and making streets safer and more vibrant. It's a simple step toward a more sustainable, car-optional city—one ride at a time.
