A Monthly Writer’s Open Mic at Nola Beans
Loose Lips is a monthly open mic for writers who need to say it out loud. Poetry, flash, fragments, letters, spells, rants, jokes, confessions—if it’s got words, it belongs here.
Each month we stir the pot with a new theme or prompt. Respond, riff, resist, or just use it as an excuse to finally read that one strange thing in your notes app. You get up to 10 minutes on the mic—take it wherever you need.
Loose Lips is part kitchen table, part séance, part slumber party for your writer self. Come as you are, say what you need, and let the room hold you.
Sign-ups are night-of. We’ll keep going until we run out of voices or the moon tells us to go home.
