Join the Louisiana State Museum and Lieutenant Governor Billy Nungesser as we mark the 20th anniversary of Hurricane Katrina with the reopening of Living with Hurricanes: Katrina and Beyond, newly reimagined for the next generation.
This special morning begins with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the Presbytère, unveiling upgrades to the immersive storm theater, expanded stories of recovery, and new interactive education spaces. Come be among the first to experience the refreshed exhibit.
Immediately following the ceremony, guests are encouraged to attend a powerful public symposium at Le Petit Théâtre, just one block away, featuring journalists, first responders, civic leaders, and community voices in conversation about the past, present, and future of the Gulf Coast. This event is FREE but RSVP is encouraged as space is limited.
