This class is great for anyone who has completed our Intro to Garment Sewing Series, and is ready for the next step, or for anyone who wants to venture into a different substrate other than quilting cottons.

Level: Confident Beginner
This is a good class for developing your skills as a confident beginner. If you know how to sew a straight line, can follow a seam allowance, and have recent experience using a sewing machine, you are ready for this class. We will briefly review the use of the Bernette sewing machines in our sewing salon at the beginning of the class. You should come to class with your fabric laundered for best results. If you are comfortable, have your pattern size traced or cut out prior to class.

This includes 7+ hours of instruction in a small group setting, use of our machines and equipment in the sewing classroom, and a copy of the Closet Core Charlie Caftan pattern. Fabric for the caftan will need to be purchased, and will include a 20% discount if bought from Chateau Sew. The fabric requirements for this pattern range from 2.25 5 to 4 yards depending on size, view, and width of fabric purchased. The physical pattern includes US sizes 0 to 20.
