On May 31st Aaron was admitted to the hospital due to a sudden blood clot in his leg. Since then, he’s been bravely fighting through complications, supported every step of the way by his incredible wife Heather and loving family.
Unfortunately, the outcome wasn’t what anyone had hoped for — Aaron required a partial leg amputation.
But if you know Aaron, you know this: his spirit is unshakable. True to form, he remains positive, hopeful, and even inspiring as he looks for the silver lining in this life-changing moment.
On October 11, Northern Grit Fitness will be hosting a fundraising event at our gym to show our support for Aaron.
The event will feature a 15-minute accessible workout, open to all who wish to participate. In addition, we’ll have fun fitness challenges, outdoor games, and a pancake breakfast and BBQ throughout the morning as well as a silent auction and 50/50. Doors will open at 8am, heats begin at 9. Event will run from 9-1.

All proceeds will go toward helping Aaron manage the financial challenges associated with his ongoing hospital visits, surgery, rehabilitation, prosthetic care, and the many life adjustments ahead—including mobility equipment, home modifications, and time away from work.
Let’s come together as a community to lift Aaron up, just as he has lifted so many of us.
Can't make it? A go fund me has also been setup:

Let’s rally around Aaron and Heather the way they’ve always shown up for others. Together, we can help make the road ahead just a little easier.
