Welcome to our first Backyard Ultra event hosted in partnership with Pictou County Volunteer Ground Search and Rescue (PCVGSAR)!
**All proceeds from this event will be donated to PCVGSAR to help fundraise for our local Search & Rescue crew**

💀 What is this madness?
The Backyard Boogeyman is a Halloween-themed backyard ultra - a race format where runners complete a 4.5km (ish) loop AS MANY TIMES as possible for 13 hours - No mandatory start every hour, you can rest or work as long as you like. You just complete as many loops as possible in the allotted time.
🎃 Glow sticks, Creepy Trails Halloween vibes with a creepy Witching Hour
👻 Costumes optional - grit mandatory.

$60 per person
Cap: 75 runners

Runners must bring their own primary nutrition & gear
Medical support provided by volunteer first responders
Toilets on site (generously donated)
No dogs allowed on course

If you last long enough, this will turn into a nighttime race - headlamps are required for this portion
Wear reflective or lit-up gear for safety
Participants are responsible for their own aid stations- small event tents are welcomed and encouraged for your comfort!
This is a cup free event!! Bring your own water bottle - filling stations available.
