Spiti the land of adventure and thrill. Spiti Valley is a cold desert mountain valley located in the northern Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. This region is covered with the cold mountain deserts of Himalayas green patches quiet villages and monasteries. Spiti has a world of its own its a valley where we can find scenic Himalayan lakes surreal moonscapes highlands nourished by prayers glacial streams and rugged terrains. Spiti valleys separates India and Tibet and the valley with surrounding regions are few of the least populated regions in India. It's time for you to explore the Spiti.
Day 0: depart for - shimla
• Board bus around 8 pm with voyagers beat team and reach shimla via bus (applicable on "delhi to delhi trip option")
Day 1: shimla - chitkul (225km)
• Welcome to shimla! we will be changing our transport from bus to tempo traveler ensuring a comfortable and safe journey for each traveler.
• En-route kalpa we will be making a small halt near shimla to freshen and gear up.
• You will be witnessing a gradual change in the landscapes as we traverse through kinnaur valley the land of gods. relish in the journey and soak in the views throughout the drive.
• Upon reaching chitkul check-in into your hotels and greet yourself to a homely scrumptious dinner.
• Overnight stay in chitkul.
• Note : the freshen-up point will be 2 hours ahead of shimla.
Day 2: chitkul/sangla to kalpa/nako (50 kms)
• After breakfast we will head towards kalpa which is known for its scenic landscapes. on the way we will explore the small town of reckong peo town serves as the perfect pit stop. if the weather gods are in your favor you will be able to catch a glimpse of kinner kailash peak.
• We will also visit kamru fort en-route kalpa if time permits.
• Upon reaching kalpa after spending some leisure time we’ll head out to visit the 3000-year-old kalpa monastery and the suicide point which offers a picturesque view of the kailash ranges.
• En route we will make a pit stop at khab the site of the union between the sutlej and spiti rivers.
• Post-check-in dinner will be served followed by an overnight stay in kalpa/nako.
Day 3: nako/tabo to kaza (100 kms)
• After having breakfast we’ll continue our journey towards nako lake a tiny hamlet situated in the trans-himalayan ranges.
• In nako we’ll visit the serene nako lake and pay our reverence at the nako monastery.
• Afterward we'll head back to our designated stay in kaza.
• En route to kaza which serves as the connective link between the districts we will find ourselves surrounded by many monasteries. we will visit the thousand-year-old tabo monastery followed by a visit to the dhankar monastery and the dhankar fort.
• We’ll reach kaza before evening and will check in to our designated accommodations. the rest of the day is at leisure. however travelers are free to explore the small town.
• Dinner and overnight stay at kaza
Day 4: kaza (komic hikkim langza key chicham)
• Rise and shine travelers! today is the day we explore the wonders of spiti and be spellbound by its unimaginable beauty.
• Last but not least we will visit the land of fossils langza and visit the buddha statue that sits on top of a hill overlooking the village.
• After a day full of thrill and adventure we will finally head back to our hotel only to be treated by a bewitching night sky that you can spend hours gazing at.
• Enjoy a fulfilling meal and take ample rest for the next day’s adventure.
Day 5: kaza to key monestory ancd kibber
• Rise and shine travelers! today is the day we explore the wonders of spiti and be spellbound by its unimaginable beauty.
• After breakfast we will head to our designated tempo travelers and set out for the iconic key monastery. key gompa is the largest monastery in spiti valley and home to hundreds of lamas.
• Take your time strolling across the narrow lanes and indulging yourself in the rich culture that fills you with a sense of tranquility. after we will head out to explore the highest locations in the world that are nestled in the embrace of spiti.
• Enjoy kaza cafe and market overnight stay in kaza
Day 6: kaza to chandratal (96 kms)
• Wake up to serene views and embrace the spitian vibe before we indulge in breakfast and head out for yet another memorable experience.
• Today we will be heading to the breathtaking chandratal - one of spiti’s most exquisite sightseeing locations which mimics the crescent moon. en-route we will be traversing through kunzum pass perched at an height of 15050ft.
• After a rugged drive we will finally reach the color changing chandratal - the first view of this lake itself is enough to leave you in awe. head into your campsites freshen up and set out to explore chandratal.
• Enjoy walking by the banks of chandratal dip your hands in its pristine waters and make sure to keep the place clean and leave no trash.
• As the night approaches catch a glimpse of star studded sky and the milky way (if weather permits.)
• Spend the night bonding with your new found friends and being in absolute love with the starry sky.
• Dinner and overnight stay at chandratal.
Day 7: chandratal to manali | departure to delhi (125 kms)
• Wake up to the sun knocking at your door and take a moment to capture the ethereal view laid in front of your eyes. enjoy a yummy breakfast with splendid views and bid your goodbye to the place.
• We will again head back to our travelers and begin our return journey to manali. on the way we will make a stop at the famous chacha-chachi ka dhaba.
• As peaceful as the journey is it will also be a crazy amount of fun as the whole group vibes to music and soulful conversations.
• We will reach manali around evening and if time permits we will provide a freshen-up halt and board the overnight bus to delhi.
Day 8: delhi arrival
• We will reach delhi early in the morning with a heart full of memories and mind at peace. hug goodbye to your friends and head back home with unforgettable memories from the trip.
