Craft Your Own Photo-Stories Workshop

You may indeed know how to take photographs. And you may indeed know at least somewhat also about the art of storytelling. And we know also, by the way, that a lot of you do struggle with combining the two. Now, let us help you begin to be able to tell powerful stories with your very own camera!

Over two days (20th and 21st September, 2pm to 6pm), we’ll explore how the arrangement of images shapes meaning, emotion, and rhythm—experimenting with linear, abstract, and mood-driven narratives. Through hands-on sequencing exercises, pairing text with images, and guided reflections, you will uncover emerging themes in your own work and begin shaping them into compelling visual stories. By the end, you’ll walk away with a concept note and a working sequence — a foundation for your personal photo-story!

About the instructors — The Fseven Photographers are a collective of independent image-makers exploring personal, social, and cultural narratives through photography. Rooted in individual journeys yet united by a shared curiosity, the collective has focused on storytelling that is honest, reflective, and rooted in lived experience.

Please note that we will require participants to bring along 20 photographs around a theme, idea, or subject they feel connected to.
