The New Carlisle Community Garden and the City of New Carlisle are excited to present a series of free preservation classes led by Ohio State University. Learn a variety of methods to preserve your produce — whether store-bought or homegrown.

Class Schedule:

Aug 27 - Intro

Sept 3 – Freezing

Sept 10 – Water Bath

Sept 24 – Pressure Canning

Oct 1 – Drying

Hands-on lessons taught by OSU experts

Take home the products you help make each week

Classes last about an hour (canning classes may run longer)

Great for beginners and experienced preservers — there’s always something new to learn!
