Join us for an enriching in-person event designed specifically for Spanish educators—the Fall Workshop! Held at 1 Spring St, New Brunswick, NJ 08901, this dynamic gathering offers a unique opportunity to deepen your skills, exchange ideas, and engage in meaningful professional development.
Whether you're just starting out or have years of experience, our expert instructors will guide you through a variety of engaging activities and hands-on sessions in a relaxed and welcoming environment. Connect with fellow educators, explore innovative teaching strategies, and leave inspired to bring fresh energy into your classroom.
Mark your calendars and don’t miss this chance to grow, collaborate, and enjoy a memorable day of learning!
Info: In this interdisciplinary workshop, students will explore the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) with a focus on reducing inequality. Through the lens of art and the target language, students will analyze masterpieces to uncover the artist’s perspective and intent. They will then engage in a creative process—generating ideas, planning, and producing original artwork—that reflects key themes such as poverty, hunger, health, education, gender equality, clean water, clean energy, and decent work. The final product will be a powerful piece of art designed to raise awareness and inspire conscious change in the world.
Info: In this interactive workshop conducted in Spanish, participants will experience a variety of ready-to-use activities aligned with the three modes of communication (interpretive, interpersonal, presentational). Each activity is designed with a different type of intelligence in mind, making them inclusive, engaging, and adaptable to any classroom setting.
Teachers will leave with at least seven practical activities that require minimal prep time and can be easily modified for different proficiency levels.
Note for participants: Please bring a phone or computer and be ready to actively participate.
Target audience: Teachers of Spanish at all levels.
Language of presentation: Spanish
Info: Informative Session: Carlos V is an Accredited Center by the Cervantes Institute for Spanish Teaching. Discover the experience of living in Spain. Immerse yourself in Spanish Language and Culture. Enjoy some of the goodies from our sponsor. https://triptospain.org/
