Beginner Paper Piecing

Master the art of paper piecing in this fun, beginner-friendly class! Learn how to sew fabric onto a paper pattern with precision as you create a beautiful, large fall leaf design. Your finished project can be used as a decorative table accent or a functional hot pad to protect surfaces from your favorite casserole dishes. We’ll guide you through every step, from reading your pattern to stitching techniques and final assembly. No prior paper piecing experience required—just bring your sewing machine and your creativity!

Note: Snippets is a cozy sewing studio. You are welcome to bring travel-size cutting and pressing stations for your work area, and we also provide communal cutting and pressing stations to help save space. Students are welcome to use the refrigerator and microwave during class. Please be aware that while Snippets is open to the public, it is not a full retail space and may not be fully accessible for wheelchairs. Restroom can be difficult to maneuver.
