In this inspiring 3-hour workshop, you’ll begin by selecting your muse: a one-of-a-kind, wheel-thrown bowl or vase handcrafted by Kathrin from Bellbird Arts Centre. Each piece holds its own story, waiting to be transformed with your creative touch.
With your chosen form in hand, macramé artist Felicia will gently guide you through the art of knotting, weaving delicate fibres directly onto your ceramic vessel. Her designs breathe bohemian charm — rhythmic patterns, tactile contrasts, and soulful aesthetics that celebrate the union of raw clay and soft rope.
This is ClayWeave: a contemporary craft movement blending ceramic and basketry techniques to form stunning functional or decorative pieces. It’s meditative. It’s tactile. It’s joyful.
