Each month, join a group of volunteers who will collect litter, clean sidewalks, and more to keep downtown New Bedford beautiful. You can help out on any day, but group efforts happen on Mirror Days!
WHAT'S A MIRROR DAY?
A Mirror Day is when the number of the day matches the number of the month: September 9th (9.9), October 10th (10.10), November 11th (11.11) and so on!
Mark each Mirror Day on your calendar and help contribute to a clean and vibrant New Bedford!
🌟The First Mirror Day Clean Up is Tuesday, September 9th🌟
GROUP PROJECTS
Join AHA! as well as 6th grade students and teachers from Nativity Preparatory School on Tuesday, September 9th at 1:00 PM in the school lobby (66 Spring St., New Bedford). We will go on “litter patrol” across several blocks from County Street to MacArthur Drive (Rt. 18) to pick up trash and keep our eyes peeled for future Mirror Day projects along the way. We expect this clean-up project to run from 1-2:30 PM.
SOLO PROJECTS
Can’t join the group project? That’s ok. Take a few minutes on this Mirror Day to tidy or “beautify” your corner of the city. Whether it’s picking up litter, sweeping your sidewalk, watering your flowers, or planting something new, every little bit makes our city sparkle, especially when we all pitch in and work together.
