River Expedition

This guided canoe trip will take you from the CEC up and down the winding Rubicon River past wetlands, sand-bars, and amazing forests.

Bring a bagged lunch to enjoy on the shores of the river during our expedition.

Two people per canoe, with the exception that children ages 4-6 can sit in the middle of the canoe as a passenger between two paddlers. You will find a limited amount of discounted passenger tickets as an add-on to purchasing a paddler ticket.

Participants younger than 10 must be accompanied by a paid adult with that paid child. Ages 10-12 must complete and pass our course if they wish to attend without an adult, and 13 and up can sign up without an adult.

All minors are required to have a liability waiver signed by a parent or guardian.

The program runs from 10:30 am-2:30 pm and will meet in St. Francis Hall, located in our main Wayne and Donna Neu Building. Some groups may finish the canoe trip earlier. Canoes, paddles, life jackets and dry bags included. Life jackets will be worn by all on the entire journey.

Please note that due to water level fluctuation throughout the summer, participants may have to step out of their canoe during the trip. Please wear appropriate footwear and clothing keeping in mind you may get wet and step in the water.
