Ramana Maharshi was an Indian sage born in 1879 and is one of the most recent of India’s wealth of sages, saints and spiritual masters. As a young man of sixteen he had a spontaneous awakening. Following this, he lived for many years alone and in silence. Then in 1920 an ashram was constructed where he lived and taught the practice of Self-enquiry until his death in 1950.
In this workshop, we explore the profound wisdom of Sri Ramana Maharshi, one of the most revered sages of modern India, whose simple and direct teachings continue to guide seekers around the world toward Self-realisation.
At the core of Ramana’s teaching is the practice of Self-enquiry (Atma-vichara) and the question, “Who am I?”. This method does not require the thinking mind. Instead, it invites an intuitive investigation into the nature of the Self, leading us back to the unshakable peace of pure awareness.
