Save Our Springs Inc 2025 AGM also on Zoom

Kia ora, the Save Our Springs Campaign is holding its AGM at the Sandcastle in Pohara on Sunday, August 31st at 2 pm. We expect the AGM to take approximately an hour. Members have been notified, and we will send out further information via our Greenpeace list.

The Save Our Springs Campaign will continue to throw everything we've got to stop this nefarious mine. While we are hoping for the best, which would be a win via the legal road, we also need to prepare for the worst. The worst would be Siren Gold resuming its drilling operation later this year and eventually developing two open-cast mines and a multitude of mining tunnels at Sam's Creek, followed by a processing plant and an associated arsenic-laden waste pit at Barrons Flat. In its public announcements, Siren Gold is clear that it intends to mine at Sam's Creek. It has just announced that it intends to raise another 4 million dollars to increase its drilling at Sams Creek. See the link below.

At our AGM, I intend to speak to the issue of how SOS can can become increasingly more effective and drive the miners out of Mohua for good. We will also pass changes to our constitution. These changes are essential to enable us to campaign and function effectively, especially on the legal front.
