The Nelson Marlborough Branch committee is delighted to invite you to our first event. We have some great speakers lined up and look forward to members having the opportunity to come together.
For our first guest speaker, we are really pleased to welcome Richard Peterson who is a Nelson based Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in hip and knee surgery. He will talk about recent advances in knee replacement surgery and anterior approach hip replacements and will have some time for questions and open discussion.
Richard will be followed by Physiotherapist Ciaran Regan, who is the regional Clinical Lead for the top of the South Island at Proactive Healthcare based in Nelson. Ciaran has a Postgraduate Diploma in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy and is currently in the final stages of a Masters of Philosophy from AUT. Ciaran has a particular interest in peripheral nervous system disorders and will be sharing his knowledge including a practical session.
Finally, it will be great to welcome Simon Hoar to Nelson. Simon was appointed to the role of Chief Executive Officer of Physiotherapy New Zealand in June this year. He will be introducing himself and the priorities of PNZ with a great opportunity for questions and discussion too.
Spaces are limited at the venue to 50 and the event will be free to PNZ members and students, so get in quick to book your place. We are planning to live stream the event for those of you living further away.
There will be light food and drink available during the evening.
We look forward to meeting you.
